There are also groups just for teenagers. There is a follow up meeting 2 months after the 8 week sessions end, at the same scheduled time. Each participant will receive a copy of the workbook "Love Theory and Love Therapy". The author and group facilitator is Mrs. Jill Peyton, who is a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist.
Love Theory and Love Therapy are "old" ideas and principles that are integrated in a "new" way with easy to learn techniques and methods that allow individuals and family members to have more control over their feelings and thoughts, behavior. This enables them to become more self-aware and improve self-esteem and self-definition. Participants also improve their relationships with significant others by using the 8 principles.
Group Goals:
- Participants will be instructed in the three foundational concepts upon which Love Theory is constructed.
- Participants will learn the 8 Principles of Love Theory and how to use them to improve relationships with significant others.
- Participants will learn simple techniques and exercises that will enable them to implement the 8 Principles of Love Theory.
- Participants will have the opportunity to form supportive relationships with others whose concerns and needs are similar to their own.
